Court says prostitute cruising 'is fine'

The Court of Cassation ruled that local authorities in Montesilvano were wrong to fine the man for slowing his car down in order to check out prostitutes, AGI news agency said.

Fines of between €250 and €500 had been introduced by the town mayor, targeting those who slowed their cars down specifically to get close to prostitutes.

The high court’s decision will put an end to the fines.
