Director and deputy of Vatican bank resign

The director and deputy director of the Vatican bank have resigned amid a probe into fraud and corruption at the scandal-hit institution, the Vatican said on Monday.
Paolo Cipriani and Massimo Tulli resigned "in the best interest of the institute and the Holy See", the Vatican said in a statement.
The resignations came three days after Nunzio Scarano, a senior cleric, was arrested on allegations of corruption.
Pope Francis has also set up a special commission to investigate financial wrongdoings at the bank.
