Disabled passenger beats man on Florence bus
A Nigerian man faces paralysis after being beaten by a disabled passenger on a bus in Florence following a row over a seat.
The row was sparked after the bus driver asked the Nigerian passenger to give up his seat in the designated disabled area for the wheelchair-bound Romanian, Firenze Today reported.
With the help of a fellow Romanian passenger, the 41-year-old disabled man then beat the Nigerian, 45, with his crutch.
The victim is reported to have suffered a fractured vertebrae, injuries which could leave him paralyzed.
The two Romanians were charged and the blood-soaked crutch recovered by police, the news website reported.
