Italy's blistering heatwave is showing no sign of abating, with temperatures hitting 40 degrees centigrade in parts of the country.


From Turin down to Sicily, people will be trying all sorts of ways to escape it, whether that means heading to the beach and mountains or switching to a diet of granite and gelato.
