A guard in Italy's highest court has been caught on camera practicing his dance moves, ahead of the verdict in Silvio Berlusconi's tax fraud verdict.

The officer can be seen watching over the empty courtroom, ahead of Berlusconi's first ever definitive conviction.

He had likely lost interest in the task at hand after the judges' repeated delays, or perhaps could no longer contain his excitement over the imminent verdict.

Either way, the guard sprung to life with some moves more often seen in an ABBA music video.

He wiggles his hips, punches the air and points his finger around the empty room.

The video lasts just a few seconds, before the judges arrived to steal the show.
