Shoppers in Rome got a surprise this week when the figure of Darth Vader, the notorious baddie in the Star Wars films, went on a stroll through the Italian capital.

A person dressed as Darth Vader was filmed ordering coffee at a Rome bar, browsing a collection of calendars and dancing around outside the city’s Ara Pacis Museum.

The figure’s identity has not yet been identified, although ‘Darth Vader’ is not thought to be a local as he was spotted asking the city’s police for directions.
