The incident dates back to August this year, when Balotelli's ex sent him some intimate photos that were intended to be private. 'Super Mario', 25, then allegedly passed the photos onto his friends in Milan, one of whom published them on Facebook, Giornaletissimo reported.
After the photos ended up online, the woman, who has a 13-year.old daughter, reportedly asked Balotelli to get them removed but was disappointed at his failure to intervene.
“My client will remain scarred by this episode,” a statement by her lawyer said. “She has been in therapy for the last few months and has lost 20 kilos, while her daughter has suffered repercussions too.”
The pair broke off their two-year relationship after the photo incident and the woman has now filed a claim for invasion of privacy with the prosecutor's office in Busto Arsizio, near Varese northern Italy.
This is not the first time Balotelli has landed himself into trouble and was forced to sign a strict 'good behavior clause' when he returned to Milan this summer.
In spite of the clause the Italy ace had his licence revoked for speeding in September.
