Yes, we know, Italy is beautiful in every season. But there's something especially photogenic about the autumn colours, light, and even the rain.


From the mountains in the north to the beaches in the south, and everything in between, it's an ideal time to get snapping in the Mediterranean country.

Adige river, Verona. The October fog makes this already picturesque river look like something out of a dream...

Bagno di Romagna, Emilia Romagna. There are incredible views to be had in the Emilia Romagna countryside - and this view is located near the local spa, for ultimate relaxation.

Funes Valley, Alto Adige. You'll stumble across gems like this church if you go hiking in the Dolomite mountains.

Valmalenco, Lombardy. Head to this - or your nearest lake - to capture the watery reflections of the foliage.

Duomo, Milan. The city's most famous sight even looks amazing in the rain... perhaps even more so.

Novara di Sicilia, Sicily. This village has repeatedly been voted one of Italy's most beautiful and in this weather, it's not hard to see why.
