Italy's Financial Guard carried out raids of some of Italy's top football clubs today, including AC Milan, Juventus and Lazio, as part of an investigation into tax evasion and money laundering.

The prosecutor of Naples ordered searches of 41 football clubs in total, with 18 from the top Serie A, 11 from Serie B and a dozen more from lower leagues.

The clubs are under investigation for international tax evasion, money laundering, falsifying invoices and conspiracy, according to media reports.

Prosecutors are looking into players’ contracts and agents Alessandro Moggi and Alejandro Mazzoni have been widely name as being part of the investigation.
