The question of immigrants rights is an important one. The flow may be reduced but is not going to stop no matter how many deals are cut with NA or other origin countries (like Bangladesh) as so many refugees seek to find a better life and escape warfare. It’s only going to get worse with Climate change. Sadly, there is no easy answer to these problems and systems of law must prevail and the burden shared across EU member states and not just by those with the most accessible borders. However the state also has a first duty to its own citizens; I think some famous orator said that in the early epoch of democracy. Ironically, neither the Irish nor Italians were awarded protection when they emigrated to the US (or other countries) and back in those days the cliques and gangs ended up in street warfare.
