Have you recently moved from the US to Italy? If so, we'd love to hear from you about the reasons why and the challenges involved.

In recent months, internet search engines have been flooded with requests such as “How can I move from the US to Italy?”

For some, moving to Italy might be a lifelong dream, whilst others may have more specific reasons to relocate to the country, including the current political situation in the US.

But wanting to move across the Atlantic and successfully doing so are not the same thing.

I found it very difficult to open a bank account due to my US Citizenship (FATCA) despite also being an Italian citizen. I also find Italy to be hostile to people who are disabled. I cannot stand very long due to back issues and yet there are seldom any places to sit.
