Starting in September and October, people living in Italy can apply for a new round of state-funded incentives designed to help with certain major purchases and essential services.
But with limited funds available, you'll need need to move quickly in order to claim.
The funding is means tested, so the amount you may be eligible to claim depends on your household's income, calculated as an ISEE number ('Indicatore della Situazione Economica Equivalente': find out more here about what this is and how to get yours.)
Some details are yet to be confirmed, while some of the government websites for submitting claims for these funds are still not functional as of the end of August.
Here's the information available so far:
Home appliances
The 'appliance bonus' is expected to launch in October, reports newspaper Corriere della Sera (awaiting final confirmation via a ministerial decree), and will allow consumers to claim up to 30 percent off major household purchases.
The discounts are capped at €100 for most families, or €200 for those with lower household incomes, defined here as an ISEE under €25,000.

Eligible appliances include washing machines and washer-dryers (at least class A), ovens (at least A), hoods (at least B), dishwashers (at least C), dryers (at least C), refrigerators and freezers (at least D).
There's one important requirement: you must scrap your old appliance to qualify.
Vouchers must be requested through the PagoPA payment platform and used within a specified timeframe. With only €48 million allocated, funds are limited.
Psychologist bonus
Starting from September 15th , applications open online via social security agency INPS for means-tested psychotherapy subsidies, worth up to €50 per session.
To qualify, you must have an ISEE of less than €50,000. The maximum amount claimable is:
- €1,500 for those with ISEEs up to €15,000
- €1,000 for ISEEs between €15,000 and €30,000
- €500 for ISEEs between €30,000 and €50,000
Only €9.5 million has been allocated to the programme this time, and previous rounds of funding have been used up long before demand was met.
Electric vehicles
A renewed subsidy for purchasing electric cars announced earlier this year is expected to become available in mid-September.
Applications will be open to those with an ISEE of up to €40,000, but applicants must now be resident in cities with more than 50,000 inhabitants or in a commuter areas (see a full list of eligible areas from ISTAT), or must own a microbusiness.
The programme allows for a discount of 30 percent at the time of purchase, up to a maximum of €11,000 (or €20,000 for owners of microbusinesses).

To qualify, your old internal combustion engine vehicle (with an emission class of Euro 5 or below) must be scrapped, the government has said.
€597 million has been allocated, which is estimated to cover approximately 39,000 new vehicle purchases.
Applications for the funds will have to be made via a government platform that is not yet ready, Corriere della Sera reports.
