This annual event brings readers, authors and publishers together for book presentations, public readings and talks with guest speakers.
This year’s opening ceremony is set to be attended by award-winning Irish writer Colum McCann and Italian journalist Cecilia Sala, host and creator of the Stories podcast.

St Martin’s Day
It may not be a public holiday like in parts of neighbouring Austria, but that doesn’t mean St Martin’s Day (or Festa di San Martino) isn’t celebrated around Italy.
The festival honours Martin of Tours – a Roman soldier who became a monk and then the bishop of Tours, France, in the 4th century AD – and is marked by traditions around the country.
Naples taxi strike
People in Naples won't be able to travel by taxi on Tuesday, November 11th, due to a planned 14-hour driver strike scheduled to last from 8am until 10pm.
Friday
Airlines and Rome public transport strike, November 14th
Staff of budget airline EasyJet have announced a four-hour strike from 1pm until 5pm on Friday, November 14th, while workers for Spanish carrier Volotea have said they will strike for 24 hours on the same date.
Workers for Rome's public transport operator Atac have also announced their own 24-hour walkout on November 14th.
Eurochocolate, Perugia – November 14th to November 23rd
Eurochocolate – one of Europe’s biggest chocolate festivals – will return to the city of Perugia, Umbria, this November.
