Looking for a good summer read? With the help of an English-language bookshop in Rome, we’ve come up with a list of the best books about Italy.

Whether  you’re looking for a detailed analysis of Italian politics or a mouth-watering taste of Italian cuisine, this selection should keep you occupied for at least the summer months.

We’ve called on Dermot O’Connell and Anita Ross at the Almost Corner Bookshop in Rome for some advice.

Have we missed any out? Tell us your favourite book about Italy in the comments section below.

The Almost Corner Bookshop was founded in 1991 by Claire Hammond and can be found on 45 Via del Moro in Rome. The bookshop specializes in Italian interest and world fiction.
