Gloria was a massive disco hit in the 1980s, but did you know the original was penned by Italy’s Umberto Tozzi? When he wrote the song in 1979, it was a simple Italian love ballad. By the time it was remade by the late Laura Branigan in the US, it became a song about a girl living too wild for her own good.
